OUTRAGE: Boston Globe Calls The Election For Coakley Hours Ahead Of Time, OOPS!

January 19, 2010 / 5:58 pm • By Dr. Melissa Clouthier

My friend Eric at Funhouseus catches the Boston Globe reporting results in Massachusetts before they’re counted.

It’s all a big mistake.

[Associated Press] was testing an election data feed to its Massachusetts clients. During corresponding tests at our end, the feed of AP’s hypothetical test data was inadvertently posted for a few minutes on a single subsection page within ur site. As soon as the error was discovered, it was removed. We regret the mishap.”

Maybe I am just ignorant, but I believe the explanation given by the paper. I am glad Scott Brown won, but to me the person hurt the most by this error is Martha herself. I would hate to have to see this headline after a bitter loss like this. One another note. I wonder if I am the only Conservative that is sad about all of this? By sad I mean its sad that we conservatives were placed in a position where we needed help from this state of all places, to stop this terrible piece of legislation from being made law. I also am Glad for the “Byrd Rule”, it may be what yet saves the country! Byrd of all people.
