Is there more to this story? The Anchoress thinks so. Gateway Pundit has more details about how the Crashers are buddies with Obama’s buddy terrorist-loving Rashid Khalidi.
Anyway, American Power has more. I just wanted you guys to know that there might be more story behind the fame-grabbing meme–which is for sure true.
At the very least, this is more evidence of an amateurish administration.

E-mails turned over to the Secret Service show that Tareq and Michaele Salahi had sought a top Defense Department official’s help to gain access to last week’s White House state dinner.
People familiar with the inquiry into how the Salahis were able to attend Tuesday’s gala, even though they weren’t on the official guest list, said the Salahis exchanged e-mails with Michele S. Jones, special assistant to the secretary of defense and the Pentagon-based liaison to the White House. It was unclear how well the Salahis know Jones, but Jones includes the Salahis’ lawyer, Paul W. Gardner, as one of her 50 friends on Facebook.

This was all suppose to be the “distraction” away from the healthsteal, cap and tax, more porkulus bailouts, etc.
Every week, I keep saying – they can’t get any more stupid. And yet – EVERY week they keep showing, why yes, they actually can get even MORE Stupiderer.er.er…erer.

My theory on the “gate crashers” is this — there was the official guest list, and then there were Obama people at the door to let in people (bundlers, lobbyists, the in-crowd) whose names should not appear on the official list.
I mean, that has to be how this happened. It clearly wasn’t a ticket-only event. The White House must have had their people at the gate, so when someone comes up and they’re not on the list, they get the high sign from the White House person and they get through. The official guest list gets released, and the others whose names the White House does not want on the published list also get in.

So when they got to the dinner, were there seats at a table for them? Did the wait staff have to scramble to set more places? If not, they were expected. Or does the staff just know to have extra places set for Obama’s drop in buddies?
