What is the government doing when we’re not looking? Bad things.

    Cap and Trade, Obama Care, TARP, ignoring Social Security’s massive funding issues, Multi-trillion dollar deficits…

    What would lead you to expect it to be any different than when we ARE looking?

    What is a sensible basis for copyright?

    John Perry Barlow wrote about it fifteen years ago:

    The Economy of Ideas (everything you know about copyright is wrong)

    Barlow is not just talking through his hat. He and the other members of The Grateful Dead got quite rich doing exactly what he says. That gives his observations a considerable weight in terms of what works, and why, in the field of IP.
