President Barack Obama’s “Grab A Mop” Campaign: How About Man Up?
October 31, 2009 / 11:27 am • By Dr. Melissa ClouthierPresident Obama’s Grab A Mop campaign via his website that goes by the name GrabAMop.com takes lameness to a whole new level. Barack Obama is so childish, blaming and just really wimpy. His repeated pettiness diminishes him.
President Obama reminds me of a couple guys I played basketball with in college. Most of the men and women played hard, up to their skill level and behaved decently. There were always one or two whiners on the court. This was the guy who cried foul every time he was touched, exaggerated every perceived injustice and screeched non-stop. Ultimately, he often held up the game. Or, if he really wanted to baby-out, he’d get “injured”. He might even actually cry. Or, if he got insulted enough, he’d be a real a-hole and try to hurt other people.
But the whining, complaining, foot-stomping and crying was all a diversion: Invariably, the dude just could not play. He had no game.
So far, President Obama has no game. None. He won’t take a side in the health care debate. It’s clear that he just wants something to pass so he doesn’t look too weak. He’s petty with anyone who might even lightly criticize his point of view. He lashes out at those beneath him making him look small and churlish. He dithers on important policy decisions like Afghanistan while troops die. He will lose the morale of his fighting men and women if he doesn’t right the ship soon. He committed all-in to worthless programs like cash-for-clunkers and the stimulus bill and the effects are negligible.
And through it all, President Obama has blamed everyone but himself making him look even weaker. That would work, if… He’s making a thoughtful decision…somewhere down the road. He’s doing the best he can.
In short, the man has no game. All the excuses, all the whining, blaming and complaining just masks his inability to get the job done.
And here’s another thing. No one wants this guy on their team. Right now, he’s just blaming “enemies”, but when he really gets down in the score and behind, he’ll be selling out his teammates shamelessly. His only loyalty is to himself and how good he looks. Once he looks bad, all bets are off.
I think the media is starting to see this trend, which is why they nervously scooted closer to the Fox folks during the Obama administration’s latest tirade. Even journalists, given enough evidence, can put two and two together and realized they could be next. They still can’t quite believe it, but on the outside chance that President Obama isn’t the Messiah, they’re hedging their bets.
For America, it’s going to be a bumpy road. It’s bad enough to have this sort of guy on your team. It’s horrible when he’s supposed to be the leader. Expect more temper tantrums and narcissism fueled blaming jags. The Grab A Mop website is probably just the beginning.

But look on it from another perspective. Obama did nothing, whining – true. But the people who elected him like some Michael Jackson or oppose him quietly – aren’t they whining, as well? Obama is such a monstrosity that he merits million-strong marches on Washington to remove him, but the outcry is nowhere near that aroused by Nixon.

You’re probably already up on Rand Simberg’s wonderful commentary on this. If so, pardon the redundancy. If not, drop everything and give it a read. Great stuff.
