I don’t get it. If it were Reagan, or Bush One, who incidentally did the same thing….it would all be appropriate. There is so much hate on this blog over nothing. Like I’m sure The President (it’s a title dave, no matter who holds the office) is plotting something, a leftist revolution….starting with the kids.

It couldn’t possibly be that he’s just doing what presidents do….encourage children to succeed.

I honestly don’t understand where all the distrust and hate comes from….oh wait….from the guys on the tv and radio spewing it all day and making millions off the ads imploring you to buy gold, and save money on your taxes. (free tip: gold is going to drop, put your money in Platinum, when the auto idustry turns around, there will be a boom in catalytic converter manufacture)

The two most vital things to notice about this are that

1). The word “president” is captialized here when according to the rules of grammar it shouldn’t be: why is that?

and

2). Children are being asked to do things for the president not the country. Why is that?

I don’t mind if the President talks to our children without our presence, as long as he starts by reciting the full “Pledge of Allegiance” and ends with a good old fashioned christian prayer.

They used to have these mandatory, taxpayer-funded talks in the days before TV, too.

Hitler called them “Strength Through Joy” and they signified the separation of children from their parents, in favor of becoming state property.

They’re the same man, really, in all the ways that count.
