About Senator Ensign: Only Someone With Morals Can Be A Hypocrite
June 24, 2009 / 9:35 am • By Dr. Melissa ClouthierI am so bored with Republican sex scandals. First, they are not nearly as potentially problematic to the rule of law and to policy issues as all the Democrat financial scandals. Second, the sex scandals are one more way for the Democrats to hamstring the Republicans.
Mostly, I’m just sick of the left screeching “hypocrite!” Good grief. If they had any morals whatsoever, they’d be capable of hypocrisy. It’s extraordinarily convenient to be amoral in Washington, D.C. Nothing is off-limits and no one can criticize because it’s not like the amoral pol ever claimed to believe any behavior is wrong, anyway.
So I talk about that and more in this Pajamas Media article It’s The Hypocrisy Stupid!

It’s not about having morals, it’s denouncing others for their lack of them, that makes charges of hypocrisy so damning for your bad little boys.

Pretty clever of Sanford to wait until you announced your boredom with Republican sex scandals before holding his press conference.

Given that he is a republican the only suprise about Sanford’s affair was that he slept with a woman instead of a man. Tap, tap tap…

Doctor, this really is towering stuff and nonsense. Remember the Governor of New York? It was this guy named Eliot Spitzer who got caught with a prostitute. Big News. Splashed all over the place.
And he had to resign, lefty that he was. Because of the prostitute? Well, that was certainly part of it. But the other part of it was that he ran a holier-than-thou political campaign. He had made a big show out of busting prostitution rings all over New York.
Now, I liked Eliot Spitzer. He basically substituted New York’s Attorney General’s office for a Bush-decimated Federal regulatory system (and now we learn what good work he was doing).
However, he had to go. Such towering hypocrisy could not stand. You can’t “perp walk” all the prostitution ring owners on live TV – and then get caught with the merchandise.
In other words, if you live by the sword – you die by the sword. All this nonsense about liberals not having morals is just so transparently silly. But a lot of liberals think that better government demands a generous view of one’s personal predilections.
If your people want to beat people over the head with a Bible in order to gain office – then don’t cry foul when the book swings the other way.

Glynn,
What Spitzer did was ILLEGAL. It is illegal to hire a prostitute. In addition, he busted prostitution rings as a DA. Surely you can see the difference between a guy having an affair and a guy who is using an illegal service?
And I’m still bored with Republican sex scandals.

Message to Democrat Trolls:
The fact that you have to keep coming back to this tired old political card, or that you even comment on it where you’re not welcome, is proof you’re losing.
Personally, I think Obama will still get re-elected because he’s got a fraud machine working for him.
But you’re finished in Congress.
If cap and trade passes, or Obama’s euthanasia program does, you’re done.
You always lose in the end…because you are what you are.
Oh, and by the way, you’re the hypocrites.
Or did you condemn Bill Clinton?
That’s what I thought.

Doctor, you are hilarious.
So will you be calling for Vitter’s immediate resignation? Or was his hooker “legal”?
The only difference is that Spitzer was forced to resign and Vitter was not. Both loved hookers, but one is a sitting United States Republican Senator – and the other is selling real estate.
Where’s the liberal bogeyman here?
Why don’t you rail over the monumental unfairness involved in that?

Dear Fascisttroll, is there any, you know, real evidence that democrats are losing?

I don’t work for you.
But one of many examples is Obama’s HUGE ABC fail.
Others are the numerous polls which showed Obama was popular, but his policies are about as popular as cyanide.
Now he’s dipped into the negative by six points in two major polls, so he doesn’t even have that going for him.
Ten more points down, with either of the two assaults on Americans I listed and he has zero coattails.
Actually, that’s already true, since the DNC’s not getting cash on par with what they did before he existed, as a “rock star.”
His campaigning for candidates isn’t working, either.
Two-thirds of Specter’s constituents hate him. Dodd’s polling lower every day.
Baucus’s collusion on health care is costing him 70 percent of his base.
Even with Franken, Pelosi, Murtha and Burris are one investigation and two 2010 Senate (and/or five House seats) away from prison.
Stuff like that.
Oh, and in case you would actually like to know the meaning of a word you’re using:
“Troll
Noun
A uninvited non-member of an internet forum with nothing worthwhile to add to a certain conversation, but who rather continually threadjacks or changes the subject, makes inflammatory comments, demands evidence as a timewaster and provides none.”
This communication is at an end.

I agree with you that Obama has more drama and the Democrats control the house, senate and white house. They have not done nothing more than just giving money away and spending money on our grandchildren’s behalf…really behalf?
Democrats are not creative and innovative like republicans…and they want to be everyone’s best friends…as long they get to spend our money and have a cake at it too. We need to ousta out of here in the next election.

No one should be pointing fingers. BUT the left sure has had it more than it’s share. Bill Clinton’s notorious libido, John Edwards knocks one up, Sen Larry Craig is not the only one that “sparkles” who could forget Gov Jim McGreevy cruising truck stops and adult book stores, Ted Kennedy leaves one to die, JFK banging Marilyn Monroe….
