Obama’s Only Criteria: Is There Something In It For Me?
May 22, 2009 / 10:51 am • By Dr. Melissa ClouthierForget the little children. The little children coming to the White House don’t vote, can’t give money and really, after you’ve had one kiddie photo-op you’ve had them all, so they can’t make you even look that great. President Barack Obama dissed a bunch of crying Kindergartners:
Paty Stine said the White House staff should have made an exception. She feels the kindergarteners were snubbed for the Steelers.
“Here we have President Obama and his administration saying, ‘Here we are for the common, middle class people,’ and here he is not letting 150 5- and 6-year-olds into the White House because he’s throwing a lunch for a bunch of grown millionaires,” Stine said.
And really, the DC kids who don’t have school vouchers? They’re nothing compared to the powerful Teacher’s Union.
And the car dealerships and average workers? They’re nothing compared to the Auto Unions and environmentalist cabal.
It’s really all about who you know and what you can do for the President. A child. A common person. Well, they can’t do much for the Prez, so he doesn’t care so much for them.

Those horrible little children… clinging to their teddy bears, Sesame Street shows, and belief in Santa Claus.

This is not surprising at all considering he voted 4 times AGAINST the Born Alive Infant’s Protection Act, that would provide medical attention to babies who were born alive from a botched abortion? Thanks to Jill Stanek’s testimonies..the truth of such atrocities has surfaced..and what is our President doing about it? NOTHING.

FTA: “10:15, but they say they arrived at 10:25 instead, and couldn’t get in.”
also FTA: “…the group was actually supposed to be there at 9:30, but they held the gates for the group until 10:30″
Valuable lessons kids: Be on time, leave early enough to get there at least 1/2 hour early and make sure you know what time your appointment is for.

As for the vouchers: This is $7,500 for each of 200 families. That equals $1.5 Million. With that kind of money you can run a summer school program for 1200 students or one-on-one tutoring for 500 students.
I think you could beat the 3.1 months of reading improvement for more students (that being the net effect of the vouchers for those 200 students according to the article).

I’ll give that a BIG Amen!
C David Dent: Regarding the vouchers…are you under-informed, or are you misleading people intentionally?
The current year budget for the District of Columbia allocates $26,555 per pupil for k-12 education — up from $24,600 last year. Meanwhile, the Department of Education puts the average tuition at voucher schools at $6,620. So vouchers are getting better results at one quarter the cost.
