Though he is definitely an effective speaker (and a superb politician), the title he most richly deserves is Master of Disingenuousness. Eloquence can only be ascribed to someone who can impress not just the impressionable seekers of hand-outs, but also sophisticated listeners and readers. The latter, however, are being overwhelmed by his disingenuous rhetoric. It is absolutely stunning how President Obama can deliver a speech in which he extols the virtues of bipartisonship with continual asides excoriating the Bush Administration. Is it only me or does he always seem angry and condescending when speaking? Lecturing is fine when talking to a 2 year old, but not when you are trying to speak to the voters. He seems to forget that he represents the whole country, not just those who agree with him. Say what you want about GW, unscripted, townhall type settings, he made it feel like he was having a conversation with you, not like he was lecturing you.
