"You know, you all are right actually. By now BO should have saved the economy, won Iraq for all of us, eliminated swine flu, discovered the cure for cancer, found Osama, walked on water, eliminated any and all forms of terrorism for all of eternity, eliminated global warming (oh wait, that’s all just liberal BS) and found a completely new, pollution free source of endless energy. I too am immensly dissapointed. Impeach this bastard NOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hilarious, because this is exactly what all the empty suit supporters were telling us would happen if the Messiah was elected...now that it hasn't - and won't happen, and he's being called out on things like shifting military forces abroad instead of sending back some of our troops, or cozying up to a nut like Chavez, the people who voted this guy in and see that he can't speak coherently without a teleprompter now defend him rigidly. Again, hilarious.

Chucknut,

"I wonder how big the carbon footprint was from Bush flying to Crawford every other weekend…but I digress."

Last time I checked, Bush Jr. never called himself an environmental nut. Obama did. It's called hypocrisy. Yes, I'm sure your reply to this will be about something that has nothing to do with the topic. Shocka there...

"BO was apparently outraged over the incident, which you conveniently left out of your trite little post."

Yeah, outraged that he got caught. It sounded like the "outrage" that the Yasser Arafat had whenever one of his buddies blew himself up in Israel. Yeah, the "good old days..."

Regarding your comment to FJ, I don't see anywhere where that individual said anything about Obama and the swine flu. He was actually talking to me. But like I said before, you like bringing up points that have nothing to do whatsoever with the topic at hand. Well, actually, that could apply to your response to Brenda. Focus, soldier...

So how come you didn't reply to me? I feel saddened and left out...

"You know, you all are right actually."

Of course we are, silly. We're conservatives, that's what being right is all about.

"By now BO should have saved the economy,"

Well, maybe not that, but I wasn't looking for a gigantic spending increase...

"won Iraq for all of us,"

Uh, Bush did that already with the surge, or at least was coming close to it. However, Al Qaeda Iraq is emboldened by our Fearless Leader's dedication to pulling out the troops no matter what happens whatsoever there. Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. If he plays his cards right, the Messiah will be a modern-day Crassus.

"eliminated swine flu,"

Swine flu is overrated, but I'm glad to see that Slow Joe is giving it his fullest attention. If you have normal hygiene, you'll be fine.

"discovered the cure for cancer,"

We've already cured some forms of cancer, haven't we? But what does this have to do with the post?

"found Osama,"

Osama's irrelevant at this point. It's like locking the barn door after the horses have been let out. Al qaeda has many more awesome leaders at its disposal.

"walked on water,"

Actually, we'll leave the Jesusification to you liberals, since you view him as the Messiah.

"eliminated any and all forms of terrorism for all of eternity,"

Actually, didn't Obama say that AQ was on the run about a week into his administration? But he made so many "friends" around the world with his tours. Yes, indeed, he's a "citizen of the world." I'd settle for President of the United States.

"eliminated global warming (oh wait, that’s all just liberal BS)"

Once again, that's a liberal thing, so you can keep that. We had a pretty cold winter here. How about you? Besides, isn't that the job for Al Gore?

"and found a completely new, pollution free source of endless energy."

Well, he's trying on that one. Of course he's going to annhilate our coal and oil reserves, so trying to switch over should be a real fun undertaking.

"I too am immensly dissapointed."

I'm not disappointed (psst...that word has only 1 "s"). I expected this more or less. How about the rest of you extreme right-wingers out there?

"Impeach this bastard NOWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!"

Unless my understanding of our system of government, it'll be difficult to do so since the Democrats control both houses. Not to mention the fact that a President is impeached because he has violated law in some form or another, not because someone likes him or not. Maybe you know of a way that escapes my attention. At least that's what I thought I read when I took government and political classes...

Yeah, you're a real hard-core "moderate"...

Hello, everyone. I don't expect this president or any other to be perfect- nobody does. But I do expect an administration to conduct itself with more responsibility. Sorry, but I regard that stunt as just plain irresponsible, whatever his level of involvement. With NYC friends who lost loved ones in 9-11, I tend to be a bit more emotional than I should be about this incident. I hated seeing those poor people gasping and running around in fright and confusion.

We're undoubtedly going to have to agree to disagree on this one, and not digress into straw man arguments or profanity.

regards,

BO was apparently outraged over the incident, which you conveniently left out of your trite little post.

FJ - You're right, Bush would be handling the swine flu situation so much better, you know, like he did with Katrina.

Brenda,

Did you have half as much outrage when Bush put in a purchase order for 11 new Marine One helicopters?

Your piece expresses my outrage completely. If the previous administration had pulled anything half that obscene, we'd still be hearing about it. Beyond this incident, there's a pandemic of enabling going on. If I were a degreed shrink instead of an armchair one, I'd posit cognitive dissonance as the explanation for the lavish support given to this adolescent.

It's really sad, mat, you're right. All the liberal dems loved the idea of an intellectual hipster-type who is, even after 3+months in office, still living by this "undoing Bush stuff" mentality. Instead of forging a new path and defining that "change" he parroted for months and months, he's being predictable and sounding nice but confusing many with his inaction.

My personal favorite was Reid's quote:

"Reid, D-Nev., writes: “‘That speech was phenomenal, Barack,’ I told him. And I will never forget his response. Without the barest hint of braggadocio or conceit, and with what I would describe as deep humility, he said quietly: ‘I have a gift, Harry.’”

Uh, yeah, I think Reid needs to brush up on his understanding of humility. Humility generally does not imply agreeing with someone's brash kudos, whether it be 'whispered' or loudly boasted. Deep humility would probably be more like disagreeing with Reid or attributing the "gift" to something else.

It's becoming more and more apparent to me every day that Obama is an immature snot who has an inferiority complex. But then, that's what Americans wanted in the White House. You know, because he's just so "hip and cool."

Great post...really sums up well why Obama will always be an empty suit. He's never been trained to be anything more. Now that he is the statement and the definition of this "self-esteem" BS, he can't deliver...because it's all empty promise.

At least Bush, if he were still in office, would be addressing this Swine Flu thing. Even if the media is, in typical fashion, sensationalizing the news as it always does, we have heard very little about what is being done to contain this outbreak. Because without a teleprompter, Obama is nothing.
