Syntax here is what’s known as a “Moby”, a subspecies of troll designed imitate what he or she perceives from the other political side, only to an extreme. They do it in order to undercut or discredit the argument they attempt to parrot. Pay no attention.

As far as projection – we’re discussing the slightly hysterical response from some on the left accusing the Tea Parties of being directed from above and organized from the top down, “astroturfing” as it’s called. While there is *now* a lot of large political action groups and personalities (like Hannity, Beck, etc)involved, they seem to have been getting on board after these got started and are lending a hand and expertise to a cause they believe.

For Baz, these very well may BE the beginnings of making the GOP (or the Democrats!) get their house in order. Also, “incendiary” speech is still free speech and fully protected under the first amendment. It’s also found across the political spectrum, shall we bring up the old chestnuts from the Rev. Wright and Father Phleger?

For Winner, this “freak out” is rather restrained compared the the reception GWB got ON HIS VERY FIRST DAY IN OFFICE. Did you forget he couldn’t walk to the white house because people were throwing things at him? I find it amusing that dissent is no longer the highest form of patriotism, now.

These protests are not directly about taxes now, but primarily about the reckless spending the government is planning and has since the last year of the GWB administration and the taxes that will eventually have to be raised to pay for it. No, GWB wasn’t a saint, but until that year the deficits were growing smaller. It’s still no excuse to quadruple the deficit from 2008 to 2010.

I don’t know about the “projecting” that Melissa refers to, so I’ll just focus on the other aspect of your posts.

I find it “intriguing” that the left can go completely apeshit with their protests (and I’ll say that their protests have been little short of rioting). However, when the right decides to dissent, all of a sudden, it’s childish and we need to grow up. Wow, talk about colossal horseshit…

Winner, I seem to also remember that the left collectively had a giant hissy fit within hours of Bush Jr. winning. Your point?

Actually, Republicans have been losing elections lately because, when elected, they spend money like drunken sailors and act as if they have no principles.

If/when that stops (or new, credible candidates are found), the elections will have different results.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to do everything we can to protect and honor our country. Hope you will too.

Even if it is projection, (and you offer zero evidence that it is) exactly how does that absolve anyone of responsibility?
Incendiary speech is still incendiary speech, and those who use it as a political weapon, regardless of political stripe, ought to held responsible.
Your calls for accountability and responsibility might not ring so hollow if you focused on getting your own political house in order before scolding the left that “the left did it first, so we can do it, too.” What are we, twelve years old?

Don’t worry, Chalmers. “Syntax” is merely part of the response to the tea party movement–an effort to paint us as radicals (notice all the buzzwords invoked and buttons pushed). Don’t be distracted–we know who and what we are.

We are the silent majority and we are finally realizing that we’ve been silent for too long. For too long, we’ve been quietly going about our business: working hard, saving hard, investing wisely, paying our bills, saving for the future–taking care of ourselves, our families and those in need. For too long, we’ve watched with disgust as the government has overstepped its Constitutional bounds and encroached on our inalienable rights.

The one thing we haven’t done well is cared for our country–the very foundation of our freedom and prosperity. No more. Too many people have laid their lives on the line for what this country stands for. America is waking up and it’s about damn time.

We need more patriots like the guy in Pittsburgh!!! He rose up and took action! FIGHT SOCIALISM!!! As great patriots like Beck, Malkin, Hannity and Michelle Bachmann have made it crystal clear, we need to meet this threat with a revolutionary force and fight them head on just like in Pittsburgh and these tea parties are the perfect avenue to do it and WE WILL DO IT!!! The poor chap in Pittsburgh was a hero! A Revolutionary! A true patriot and how dare the leftist liberals and their obedient media smear his good name because they’re threatened by our cause.
