Obama’s Failed Diplomacy–UPDATED

Meanwhile, the actual President, Nicolas Sarkozy, the French press and and the French people are offended. Gateway Pundit has the story.
My question: What exactly will Obama and Chirac work on together? And why does every action by this man seem like a petty stab at the former administration?
More questions: Is Obama consulting with his Secretary of State about these secret letters, YouTube videos and stupid gifts? Is it a case of Dumb and Dumber or is Obama just doing what he damn well pleases?
I can’t escape the feeling that President Obama just does not give a flip about diplomacy. Or rather, he’s so narcissistic, that he figures anything he does will be preferable to what his predecessor did. Newsflash, Mr. President. Some of the leaders in the world may not have liked George W. Bush, but you can be sure they respected him.
President Obama is quickly taking the position of being unliked and disrespected. That does not bode well for the safety and security of Americans abroad. Nor does it bode well for our standing in the world.
He’s going to have a tough time filling his remaining cabinet slots. No one will want to touch this administration with a ten foot pole.

Turns out that Ed Morrissey has pointed to a bigger Obama faux pas and that the President Obama was just returning a letter to Chirac. Still, one wonders how Obama and Chirac would make a safer world together.

I seem to remember in the Middle Ages every town had ” the Village Idiot”They enjoyed the idiots antics BUT They Didn’t Respect Him! But our dilema is that we don’t have a Village Idiot, but stuck with THE ASSISTANT TO THE VILLAGE IDIOT! And a arrogant one at that!

Someone should take away Obama’s crayons and Big Chief tablet before he sends off anymore embarrassing letters to former national leaders.
Obama is either the biggest idiot to ever sit in the Oval Office, or he’s deliberately trying to piss off the leaders of our closest allies. Of course, I happen to believe it’s both.

Just when I think he can’t possibly do any more Dumb Diplomacy Tricks, he does, and manages to one up himself.

I noted on another blog that it is entirely possible that Obama is trying to reorient (and clumsily at that) this country’s regular allies. Think about how he’s talked to Europe (post-election) and the West in general and how he’s talked to the Muslim world. It’s either that or he just doesn’t have a clue (which is entirely possible also). However, this and the British incident were entirely deliberate.
As for the French (and everyone else in the world for that matter) getting pissed off, that doesn’t really concern me. After all, they couldn’t collectively wait until this “Messiah” got into office. They wanted mean ol’ Bush out so badly. Well, they got what they wanted.
Remember the saying, “be careful what you wish for…”

Illegal alien Kenyan/Indonesian ideological communist revolutionary dictator wanna-bees don’t NEED a bunch of advisers/staffers when they plan on doing everything on their own hook anyway. When one thinks he is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent what can anyone else tell him he doesn’t already know? And, more importantly who can stop him? Really, I don’t see any road-blocks going up yet… Where are the *conservatives*? We have to get rear-view photos of the ‘Bamster to find the RINOs where they’re presently lip-locked.

It seems to me that he’s been doing an awful lot of outreach to the muslim world (genuine outreach, not the stuff that he’s pulled with everyone else). Draw your own conclusions…
He kissed a lot of European ass pre-election because he needed their money. Remember that whole thing about Obama and possible illegal donors? A lot of the sources came from Europe.
It’s obvious that he doesn’t like Europe because they’re colonial (whether they have colonies now is a moot point). My guess is that this another ploy by Obama to show up another European country to show them that he doesn’t think much of them (much like what happened earlier with the British).
Bear in mind that the guy is heavily into ideology (i.e., the left). The fact that the media continuously ignores that doesn’t mean he doesn’t view things in that light. Part of that ideology is breaking up the existing support structures that make this country what it is.
