Electronic voting in its current state is incomplete, we as Americans should be contacting our Senators, Governors etc and tell them we pay your salary, for technology and equipment to vote on yet electronic voting systems are incomplete and not trustworthy.

The same companies that make voting systems also make ATM's so why is it that our current voting systems don't give us a receipt of who we voted for? Are not all connected through an encrypted network ? Don't use windows as the base operating system? Hardened machines that cant be physically opened and tampered with.

I agree we have many issues with voter fraud, we need to push for better electronic voting equipment and much stiffer penalties for people or organizations that are convicted of voter fraud.

Especially when real, actual, documented incidences of voter intimidation is so common? And you have nothing to say about that at all.

Looks like Melissa got around to mentioning the voter intimidation. Any response to the Black Panthers standing in front of the door with a nightstick?

Voter intimidation? You mean telling folks that they will need to show a legal photo ID to prove their identity?

By the way, why would folks be afraid to go vote if there were federal marshals at the polling place? Are we going with the theory that non-white US citizens are afraid of the police?

Again I say, I will be glad when this election is complete. I will be celebrating my freedom to keep and bear arms today by visiting my local gun store.

I'll third this as well. Not only did we have the 2000 debacle (and got a monkey in the White House) but there were problems in Ohio in 2004. I didn't like Kerry, but the intimidation and electronic irregularities were there too and I didn't see anyone from your party complaining then. Why don't you talk about this as well? I still like the idea of paper ballots (but not those "chaddy" pieces of toilet paper that we had in Florida).

Oh, come on, guys.

Glynn, illegal voter registrations have one purpose: to create illegal votes.

Matt, I think half of the electorate was angry at the result and couldn't believe it. Bush won despite fraud.

I'd like to second what Glynn said, and suggest that only 18 percent of Americans have faith in the electoral system because the man who finished with the most votes for president in 2000 (by more than half a million) didn't win the election.

I wonder . . . since the incidence of voter fraud is vanishing rare - (less that six votes per cycle) and you have a greater chance of being struck by lighting than participating in voter fraud - I wonder why you feature it discussed so prominently?

Especially when real, actual, documented incidences of voter intimidation is so common? And you have nothing to say about that at all.

Misleading fliers were just discovered in Black communities in Pittsburgh, urging folk to vote on the 5th, and assuring them that federal marshals would be stationed at the Polling Places. Similar incidents are occurring in battleground states all over the country, attempts to disenfranchise poor minorities.

Gee, I wonder who is behind these ugly incidents? (Hint: It rhymes with GOP)

This voter fraud is pure silliness. What is disheartening is that you know that already, and still push this nonsense instead of aiming your outrage at what actually occurs.
