Obama Flips The Bird….Again–UPDATED

November 3, 2008 / 6:14 pm • By Dr. Melissa Clouthier

Well, he’s done it before:

What is wrong with him? It’s like he’s twelve. He could be the President, it would be nice if he acted like it.

UPDATED:

For the doubters out there, puhleeeeze. The Anchoress says (and this is a long quote but only part of what she was saying and it’s worth reading the whole thing):

What a statesman! What a leader! What a uniter! While “congratulating” Clinton on running a tough race, he counterbalances graciousness with an infantile, adolescent gesture. While “congratulating” McCain on running a tough race, he counterbalances graciousness, undercuts it, actually, with an infantile and adolescent gesture. How immature.

And they’ve told us for the last 8 years that President Bush was “the frat boy,” the “child prince.” Unreal.
This second flipping off by a man who wants to rule the world tells us something important about Obama; it tells us that he is uncomfortable with the gracious or generous act.

That’s an important thing to know about someone. We’ve seen Obama’s inability to be generous, before – when McCain introduced his running mate to the nation.

I’m not talking about fiscal or monetary generosity. Some are mocking Obama for returning to his under-the-bus Auntie only as much money as she has ‘donated’ to his campaign, and not a penny more, but that’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about the generosity of spirit which a president needs if he is going to actually work for all the people of his nation, and not simply “some” of them.

It’s the generosity of spirit a president needs if he is going to be dealing with (admittedly only a few) stragglers in the press who do not already bow down in obesience to him and all of his ideas.

It’s the generosity of spirit a president needs to be able to allow his nation the freedom to speak their minds, ask questions, and even to object and to demonstrate.

Oy. What else is there to say? It’s embarrassing.

That’s very passive aggressive behavior, as well.

OK, now you guys are reaching… A psychologist I am not, however scratching your cheek with the friendly finger and saying that he is flipping everyone of is a little much, don’t you think? Maybe he has a boo boo on his index finger. As a former resident of the wonderful and driver friendly southern California, I can personally attest that this would be a “limp” effort at best, and would be a “flaccid” attempt at telling one to fornicate thyself. We former road rage warriors know what a true “f**k you and the inland empire city you rode in from!” finger looks like, and this ain’t it.

All kidding aside, I for one will be glad when Wednesday arrives and this whole mess is over with. No matter who you are voting for, we should all be happy that we can still vote and make a difference. I hope that America can learn to live with whichever candidate gets elected and will give them a chance to do the right thing. For myself, if McCain gets elected I will be willing to give him a fair shake and I honestly hope that he is able to turn this mess around. No matter what your stripe is, we are all going to sink or swim together and it will do no good to arbitrarily tear down either candidate given the economic odds we are facing. For me personally, things have become so bad that unless things get better soon I may have to close the doors on a ten year business that gave me and my family a lot of flexibility and autonomy (and a hell of a lot of work too, but it was rewarding for awhile). I hope that whoever gets elected will have the wisdom to realize that the economy is the most important thing to get right, as all else follows from there.

    Class, pure class.
We’re in danger of electing a 14 year old.

C’mon! Are you for real? To have a “Dr.” in front of your name I would think one would have to smarter than this. Or do you just live in a world of your own reality (like the Republicans) If you want to see a real Flip of the bird watch Dubya in the link above. He even has a name for it, “A one finger victory salute” Now that’s acting like a 12 y/o Dr. Mellisa. Grow up.

Seriously? I agree with Brent Brooks -you have a Dr. in front of your name and you’re stooping to this level?

Takes one twelve-year-old to know one! Or should I say on Obama’s behalf “I know you are but what am I?”

That’s as pathetic as the irrelevant attacks against Palin’s clothes, children, etc.
