Democrats want to forget 9-11? We're making those who did this to us pay? Really? Even most of my long - time republican friends have conceded that the evidence of Iraq's involvement was sketchy at best. I personally don't ever want to forget 9-11 or forget that there was advanced warning from Richard Clarke and other high ranking officials that Kindasleazy Rice simply blew off. I'll even give you the typical "it's Clintons fault" argument that he could have been captured earlier, but this makes it all the more ridiculous that the "tougher" party let it all go down. The second fumble was at Tora Bora, and then shrub said that he "didn't really think about him (bin laden) anymore". I'm sure that's very comforting to the families of the 3,000 who would like to see this maggot strung up. Mr. "hey, sorry, gotta go play golf with the old man, gotta get back to crawford for the 900th time, gotta play geee-tar while N.O. drowns...)doesn't have a clue about honor, sacrifice or defense of this nation. I agree - it's a shame that the dems won't talk about 9-11 and the major f**k ups prior that led to it. The invasion in Afghanistan was the only justified one of the two, and six years later it's still a violent cesspool. Face it - your party blew it - big time, and now you all are asking for the keys to the kingdom again. I know that you all honestly believe that you are the only party capable of protecting this country, but several democratic presidents have done so sucessfully, far more so than the boy king. On a personal note, as a former servicemember (army) and a democrat it really pisses me off that I spent five years of my life helping defend this country while you and others of your ilk demean and characterize those of us who are dems as unpatriotic (typical Hannity crap - never had a uniform on either...) If you're so damn gung ho then go pick up a f***ing rifle and defend your country instead of paying lip service to patriotism.

I keep hearing the naive and complacent say that 9/11 will never happen again, and I keep telling them that's why it happened the first time--because we didn't think it could.
This isn't the USA versus anybody. This is humanity versus barbarism.
We must never forget, and we must never surrender.
