Andrew Sullivan Agent Provocateur?–UPDATED

Is Andrew Sullivan being spanked for being excessively excessive in his criticisms of Sarah Palin’s Down’s Syndrome son? And is he retaliating in a passive aggressive way?

Or, has he had a moment of self-awareness and realized that his actions alone propelled John McCain to the presidency? And so he decided to stop. the. Palin. hate. madness.–by gazing at flowers on the last languid Sunday of summer?

Or, is he, after all, a true conservative, just hidden in a Christianist loathing, promiscuously gay persona? He’s actually super secret-handshake, under double deep Leftist cover to dash Obama’s hopes and changiness from within. Hmmmmm…..?

I vote the latter. He’s just that good.
