Michelle Obama’s DNC Speech
August 25, 2008 / 10:35 pm • By Dr. Melissa ClouthierThe speech itself felt mechanical. There were some interesting quotes including:
“I love America!” [Note: As an aside, I feel like if you have to say it, you call it into question.]
“We will build the world as it should be.”
“Hillary Clinton put 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling”–and this is a paraphrase–and changed the world for our girls. [I'm sure Hillary is happy to know she paved the way for Michelle's daughters.]
She also said some airy, fairy stuff about stellar education from cradle to grave, but no specifics other than by “bringing us together” and finding the “common thread”. Whatever the hell that means.
At the end of the speech, there was a staged moment where Barack was piped in via satellite and talked to his girls who were absolutely precious. To me, I think that part was the “winning” moment, if there was one. The all-American family. The all-American black family. Very powerful.
If you watched Michelle Obama’s speech, what did you think?

Michelle Obama’s speech wasn’t eventful so it fulfilled it purpose. Her Leftist utopianism was buried enough to scare me, but not the average voter who knows little about French Revolutionary rhetoric.
I do wonder if some mothers will wonder why Michelle let her daughter act up like she did. Michelle could have taken the microphone out of the girl’s hand.

No question, Michelle was AWESOME.
Hurts doesn’t it? Michelle knocked it out of the park – plain and simple, and didn’t let your hate slow her down for a minute. Can you imagine Cindy doing what Michelle just did? Had the look of a real First Family to me.
Go Michelle!

I am amazed at the attitude of the DNC. Why does they allow spouses to speak at the convention?

Morning drive-time radio was commenting that “Her handlers really had her on a short leash — didn’t seem like her at all.”

If you want Socialism or Marxism to rule, than
vote Obama,
If you want everyone to pay your way, than vote Obama.
If you want to do away with the American Dream,
than vote Obama
If white America wants to ride in the back of the bus, which will happen…than vote Obama
